# Sign Up

Getting started with Ilmiya involves two steps: creating your personal account, then setting up your organization. The entire process takes just a few minutes.

## Step 1 — Create Your Account

Go to [platform.ilmiya.com](https://platform.ilmiya.com/) and click **Sign Up** at the top of the screen. The **Create an account** screen opens.

Enter your desired **username** and click **Continue**.

Enter your email and click **Sign up with email**, or click **Sign up with Google**.

Fill in the following fields:

-   **Email**
-   **First name**
-   **Last name**
-   **Password**
-   **Confirm password**
-   Click **Create**.

Your account is now created. A verification link will be sent to your email; open it to continue and finish setting up your organization.

## Step 2 — Create Your Organization

After you verify your email, the **Create Organization Name** screen opens automatically.

Enter your **Organization Name** and click **Next**.

Enter your **organization domain** — this will be your subdomain on Ilmiya, for example:

```
xyz.myilmiya.com
```

Click **Next**. On the **Welcome to ILMIYA** screen, click **Get Started**.

You’ll be redirected to your organization’s **console** — your organization is ready to use.

> **Tip**
>
> Choose a domain name that reflects your institution’s identity (e.g. `greenhill.myilmiya.com`). This will appear in URLs and communications sent to your users.
