# Inbox

**Inbox** brings group discussions and message threads together in one place, so you never miss an update from your teacher or classmates.

## Three Tabs, Three Purposes

| Tab | What it’s for |
| --- | --- |
| **Discussions** | Group channels where your teacher posts and your class comments, replies, and reacts |
| **Messages** | Threads you open to ask a question — a teacher or staff member replies, and the thread stays open until resolved |

## Accessing Inbox

1.  Click the **Inbox** icon in the top bar.
2.  Click **Full Inbox** at the bottom of the dropdown.
3.  You’ll land on the Inbox page with **Discussions**, **Messages** and **Assign** tabs.

> **Note**
>
> Channels are created and managed by your teacher or administrator — you can participate but cannot create new channels yourself.

> **Note**
>
> The unread badge on the Inbox icon covers everything in one place — new notifications, message replies, and channel activity all count toward the same number.
