# Getting Started with Canvas

Canvas is accessible directly from your Ilmiya account. This section walks you through accessing the portal and getting familiar with its layout.

## Before You Begin

To use Canvas you need:

-   An active Ilmiya account
-   Canvas enabled for your organization (contact your administrator if it’s not visible)
-   A modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
-   A microphone if you plan to use recitation or practice features

## Accessing Canvas

Canvas is accessed from the main Ilmiya navigation. Depending on how your organization is set up, you may see a direct **Canvas** link in the top navigation or app switcher.

1.  Log in to your Ilmiya account.
2.  Look for **Canvas** in the navigation or app switcher.
3.  Click **Canvas** to open the portal.

You’ll land on the Canvas home screen with the Quran tabs visible.

> **Note**
>
> If Canvas is not visible in your navigation, it may not be enabled for your organization. Contact your administrator to request access.
