World clock, stopwatch and timer

Time around the world

The world clock starts with the timezone set on your device. The city shown represents that timezone; it does not identify your precise location. Select a city to see its local time and date, or add cities to compare them.

The world dial places cities around a rotating 24-hour ring. Select a city label or a saved city to bring its time to the pointer at the bottom. The polar map rotates with your selection. Shading shows night across the map, while the sun and moon on the time ring mark noon and midnight.

Click an open area of the watch face to switch between the world dial and an analog clock. Keyboard users can focus the Change clock face button and press Enter or Space. City labels select a city without changing the face.

Sunrise and sunset are approximate for the selected city and local date. The map and daylight indicators use the same solar model. They do not account for local terrain or weather.

Use the 12 h / 24 h button to choose your time format. That preference also applies to the clock in the website footer. Daylight-saving changes follow your browser’s timezone rules, so keep your device and browser up to date.

Stopwatch and countdown

The icons at the top switch between the world clock, stopwatch and countdown timer. Start or pause the stopwatch and record laps during a session. Reset clears its elapsed time and laps.

Choose a duration preset or set the timer in hours, minutes and seconds, then choose Start. Add a minute while it runs with +1 min; after completion, that button starts a fresh one-minute timer. Pause keeps the remaining duration, and Reset returns to the duration you entered. When it finishes, a message stays visible until you reset it or start again.

You can switch clock modes while a stopwatch or timer runs. If you return from another browser tab, the display catches up with the elapsed time. Keep this page open; a reload or navigation to another page resets the session. Completion stays visible on this page. A gentle chime plays when browser audio is available, with audio initialized only after you start the timer. Reset or choosing a new duration stops the chime. Browser suspension can delay sound; the remaining time catches up when the page resumes. No notification permission is requested.

With the timer or stopwatch area focused, press Space to start or pause, R to reset, or L to record a stopwatch lap. The + key adds one minute in timer mode. These shortcuts leave fields, buttons and site navigation controls to their usual keyboard behavior.

Use the fullscreen control to expand any clock mode. The mode switches remain available at the top. Choose Exit fullscreen or press Escape to return; your running timer and stopwatch keep their state.

Your preferences

City choices and the time format are stored in this browser. The clock does not request location permission or use an IP lookup. Time readings follow your device clock.
