Ilmiya begins with an ambition to make education easier to shape around the people learning and teaching.
Every learner brings a different experience to the classroom. Educators work to understand those differences while planning lessons and managing the day around them. We want to build tools that support that work and give learners a clearer way to continue their education.
Our starting point is the relationship between an educator and a learner. A useful platform should help a teacher prepare for a lesson, then make it easier to see how learning develops. For students, it should create space to practise at their own pace and ask for help when they need it.
We also want learning to feel connected across the school day. Families and school teams have a part in supporting each student, and the tools they use should help them understand that student’s experience.
These intentions guide how we build Ilmiya. As the work develops, we use this newsroom to share what we are learning and explain the decisions behind the platform.
