Posting & Replying

The Chat tab inside any channel is where the conversation happens. You can post new topics, comment on existing posts, reply to specific comments, and mark a comment as the accepted answer.

  1. Go to Inbox → Discussions.
  2. Click on a channel.
  3. Select the Chat tab in the channel detail view.

Posts are the top-level entries in a channel — a question, announcement, or topic you want to open up for discussion.

  1. In the Chat tab, click the post input field.
  2. Type your message.
  3. Click Post (or press Enter).

The post appears in the channel and all members are notified.

Comments are responses to a post — students and teachers can all add comments.

  1. Find the post you want to comment on.
  2. Click Comment or the reply area below the post.
  3. Type your comment.
  4. Click Submit.

Your comment appears nested under the post.

You can reply to a specific comment to create a nested thread:

  1. Click Reply under the comment you want to respond to.
  2. Type your reply.
  3. Submit.

The reply is nested under that specific comment, keeping the conversation organized.

If a student posts a question and a comment answers it correctly, you can mark that comment as the accepted answer:

  1. Find the comment that answers the question.
  2. Click the Mark as Answer or checkmark icon.
  3. The comment is highlighted as the accepted answer.

This helps other students quickly find the resolution without reading every reply.

Click the reaction icon on any post or comment to add an emoji reaction — a quick way to acknowledge content without writing a reply.

  • Edit: Click the edit icon on your own post or comment to update the text
  • Delete: Click the delete icon to remove it
