Lesson Player

The Lesson Player is where learning happens. When you open a lesson, it launches the player — a focused, interactive session that walks you through each element of the lesson one at a time.

  1. Click a lesson from a course or assignment to launch the player.
  2. Each lesson is made up of individual elements — questions, activities, or media.
  3. You move through elements one by one — answer a question, then proceed to the next.
  4. A progress bar at the top shows how far through the lesson you are.
  5. When you complete all elements, you’ll see your results summary.

Lessons can include a wide variety of interactive element types:

CategoryTypes
Multiple ChoiceSingle answer, multi-select, draggable choices
Written ResponseShort answer, fill in the blank, writing notes
Sorting & MatchingDrag and drop sorting, image sorting, connect letters
Listening & SpeakingAudio questions, read and speak, pronunciation practice, talking avatar

The progress bar at the top of the player is divided into chunks — each chunk represents a group of elements. As you complete elements, the bar fills up so you can always see how much is left.

  • Select or type your answer and click Submit (or the equivalent action for that element type).
  • You’ll get immediate feedback — correct or incorrect — before moving on.
  • Some elements allow retries; others move you forward regardless of your answer.
  • Answering questions correctly in a row builds a streak.
  • Maintaining a streak earns bonus coins — animated on screen when triggered.
  • Streaks reset if you answer incorrectly, depending on the lesson settings.
  • Click the X or Exit button to leave the lesson at any time.
  • A confirmation modal will appear — confirm to exit.
  • Your progress up to that point is saved. You can resume from where you left off.

After completing all elements, you’ll see your results:

ResultWhat it shows
ScoreYour overall score for the lesson as a percentage
AccuracyHow many questions you answered correctly
Time spentTotal time taken to complete the lesson
Attempt historyPrevious attempts on this lesson (if any)

From the results screen you can:

  • Retry the lesson to improve your score
  • Continue back to the course structure
  • View a breakdown of your answers

Your score is automatically saved and reflected in Grades under Awards.
