Browsing the Quran

Canvas gives you four ways to navigate the full Quran. Use whichever method fits your study style or where you are in your learning journey.

MethodBest for
By SurahWhen you know which chapter you want to read
By JuzSystematic revision across the full Quran (30 parts)
By PageFollowing along with a physical Mushaf (pages 1–604)
By VerseJumping directly to a specific Ayah

  1. Open the Chapters tab in the left sidebar.
  2. All 114 Surahs are listed with their number, Arabic name, and English name.
  3. Click any Surah to open it in the reading area.

The Surah opens from verse 1. You can scroll down to read through the full chapter.

  1. Open the Juz tab in the left sidebar.
  2. All 30 Juz (Para) are listed.
  3. Click a Juz to open it — you’ll see all the Surahs and verses it contains.

Each Juz typically spans multiple Surahs. The display picks up exactly where that Juz begins, even if it starts mid-Surah.

  1. Open the Pages tab in the left sidebar.
  2. All 604 Mushaf pages are listed numerically.
  3. Click a page number to jump directly to that page.

Page view displays the Quran exactly as it appears in the standard Mushaf layout — useful if you’re following along with a printed copy.

Every verse in Canvas is interactive. Click on any verse to:

  • See a detailed verse view with full translation and transliteration
  • Access Tafsir (commentary) for that verse
  • View similar verses that repeat the same phrase elsewhere in the Quran
  • Copy, share, or save the verse

Canvas supports a dual-page view — displaying two Mushaf pages side by side, mirroring the layout of a physical Quran.

Toggle dual-page mode from the display settings or bottom toolbar when in Page view.

While reading, use the on-screen navigation controls to:

  • Move to the next or previous verse
  • Jump to the beginning of a Surah
  • Continue to the next Surah after reaching the end of the current one
