Qari Practice

Qari Practice is a guided recitation exercise. An AI Qari (reciter) recites a verse for you to listen to and model — then you record your own recitation and receive AI-powered feedback comparing your performance to the correct recitation.

  1. Click Practice in the top navigation.
  2. Select Qari Practice (or Practice with Qari) from the practice menu.
  3. Choose the Surah or Juz you want to practice.
  1. The AI Qari recites the verse.
  2. Follow along with the Arabic text on screen — words are highlighted as they are recited.
  3. Listen as many times as you need before attempting to record.
  1. Click Record when you’re ready.
  2. Recite the verse clearly into your microphone.
  3. Click Stop when you’ve finished.
  1. The AI evaluates your recording against the correct recitation.
  2. Results appear as colour-coded word highlights on the verse text.
  3. Each word is marked as correct, or flagged with the type of error made.

→ See Recitation Feedback for a full explanation of error types and colour codes.

Qari Practice also supports a memorization variant where words in the verse are progressively hidden as you advance. This challenges you to recall the verse from memory rather than reading along.

  1. Enable Memorization mode in the practice settings.
  2. Words in the verse are covered.
  3. Listen to the Qari, then recite from memory.
  4. Feedback is given the same way — revealed word by word after your attempt.
  1. After receiving feedback, click Retry to attempt the same verse again.
  2. Each attempt is saved to your history.
  3. Your score should improve as you identify and correct errors.

After completing a verse, click Next to move to the following verse in the Surah. Your session continues verse by verse until you choose to stop.
