Discussions
The Discussions tab shows all discussion channels associated with your class. From here you can browse active channels, search for specific ones, and open any channel to read and participate in conversations.
Accessing Discussions
Section titled “Accessing Discussions”- Click Inbox in the Console navigation.
- Select the Discussions tab.
What the Discussions List Shows
Section titled “What the Discussions List Shows”Each channel is listed with:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Channel name | The name of the discussion channel |
| Creator | Who created the channel |
| Visibility | Public (all class members) or private (invited members only) |
| Message count | Total posts in the channel |
| Created date | When the channel was created |
Searching and Sorting
Section titled “Searching and Sorting”- Use the search bar to find a channel by name
- Sort by name, creation date, or visibility
- Channels with recent activity surface near the top
Opening a Channel
Section titled “Opening a Channel”Click on any channel name to open its detail view — where you can read all posts, add new ones, and manage the channel.

Creating a New Discussion Channel
Section titled “Creating a New Discussion Channel”- Click + Create in the Inbox header.
- Select Discussion.
- Fill in the channel name, description, and visibility setting.
- Save — the channel is created and added to the Discussions list.
Students in the class will see the channel in their Campus Inbox automatically (if visibility is set to public).
