Getting Started with Canvas
Canvas is accessible directly from your Ilmiya account. This section walks you through accessing the portal and getting familiar with its layout.

Before You Begin
Section titled “Before You Begin”To use Canvas you need:
- An active Ilmiya account
- Canvas enabled for your organization (contact your administrator if it’s not visible)
- A modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- A microphone if you plan to use recitation or practice features
Accessing Canvas
Section titled “Accessing Canvas”Canvas is accessed from the main Ilmiya navigation. Depending on how your organization is set up, you may see a direct Canvas link in the top navigation or app switcher.
- Log in to your Ilmiya account.
- Look for Canvas in the navigation or app switcher.
- Click Canvas to open the portal.
You’ll land on the Canvas home screen with the Quran tabs visible.
