AI Assistant

Canvas includes a voice-powered AI assistant dedicated to Quran learning. You can ask it questions about verses, request explanations, seek context, and have a natural voice conversation — without leaving Canvas.

  1. Click Assistant in the top navigation bar of Canvas.
  2. The assistant interface opens.
  3. Allow microphone access when prompted.

The assistant uses real-time voice communication — you speak, it listens, and it responds with both voice and text. The conversation is live and interactive, similar to speaking with a tutor.

  1. Click Start to begin a session.
  2. Speak your question or request clearly.
  3. The assistant processes your speech and responds in real time.
  4. Continue the conversation naturally — ask follow-up questions, request clarification, or change topics.
  5. Click End to close the session when finished.

The AI assistant is designed for Quran-related learning:

Type of questionExample
Verse meaning”What does Surah Al-Fatiha verse 5 mean?”
Tafsir & context”What is the historical context of Surah Al-Kahf?”
Tajweed rules”When do I apply Ghunnah?”
Memorization help”Help me understand the difference between verse 3 and verse 4 of Surah Al-Baqarah”
General Quran knowledge”How many Makki Surahs are there?”
Word meanings”What does the word ‘taqwa’ mean in the Quran?”

The assistant is primarily voice-based, but responses are also displayed as text on screen. This lets you:

  • Read the response even in a noisy environment
  • Refer back to earlier answers during the session
  • Copy any part of the response for your notes
