The chat interface is the core of Aide. You can have text conversations with AI, attach files for analysis, and maintain a full history of all your past sessions.

How Chat Works

1. Type your message in the input bar at the bottom
2. Press Enter or Ctrl + Enter to send
3. The AI responds with a formatted markdown reply
4. Continue the conversation — context is carried across the full session
5. Every conversation is saved automatically and accessible from the sidebar

Tip

Aide remembers the full context of your conversation. You don’t need to repeat yourself — just continue naturally and the AI builds on what was already discussed.
