Voice Assistant
The Voice Assistant lets you have a natural, real-time spoken conversation with Aide. Instead of typing, you speak — the AI listens, processes your speech, and responds with both voice and text.
Accessing the Voice Assistant
Section titled “Accessing the Voice Assistant”- Click the microphone icon in the input bar of the main chat interface.
- Or navigate to
/voicedirectly. - Allow microphone access when your browser prompts for permission.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”The Voice Assistant uses RTVI (Realtime Voice Interaction) — a bidirectional audio pipeline that processes your speech and streams the AI’s response back in real time.
- Click Connect or the microphone button to start a session.
- Wait for the status to show Ready or Connected.
- Speak your question or prompt clearly.
- The AI processes your speech and responds — both spoken aloud and as text on screen.
- Continue speaking to keep the conversation going.
- Click Disconnect when you’re done.
Status Indicators

| Connecting | Establishing the voice connection |
| Connected | Ready — you can start speaking |
| Listening | AI is capturing your speech |
| Responding | AI is generating and playing its response |
| Disconnected | Session ended |
Tips for Best Results
Section titled “Tips for Best Results”- Speak at a natural pace — not too fast, not too slow
- Keep background noise to a minimum
- Wait for the AI to finish responding before speaking again
- Use a headset or headphones to prevent audio feedback
