Collections & Pathways

A Collection (also called a Pathway or Catalog) is the top-level container for your catalog. Everything you build in Studio — courses, lessons, quizzes — lives inside a collection.

  1. Click Catalog in the Studio navigation.
  2. You’ll see all existing collections displayed as cards.
  3. Use search to find a collection by name.
  4. Toggle between grid and list view.
  1. Click + New or Create Collection from the Catalog page.
  2. Fill in the details:
FieldDescription
NameThe collection title — e.g. “Islamic Studies Year 8”
StatusSelect public or private
ImageA cover image for the collection card
  1. Save — the collection is created and appears in the Catalog.

Once inside a collection, you’ll see its Indexes (courses) listed. From here you can:

  • View existing courses within the collection
  • Create new courses (indexes) inside it
  • Edit the collection’s name, status, or image
  • Delete the collection (and all content inside it)

Collections represent a full subject or learning track. Some approaches:

ApproachExample
By subject”Arabic Language”, “Islamic Studies”, “Mathematics”
By year group”Year 7 Science”, “Year 8 English”
By level”Beginner Quran”, “Intermediate Quran”
By term”Term 1 Curriculum”, “Term 2 Curriculum”

If you want to reuse a collection structure for a new class or year group, use the Duplicate option to clone the entire collection including its courses, sections, and components. You can then edit the content for the new group.
